While Labradors can give birth to puppies of different colors than their parents’ fur, cases where a female gives birth to pups of all colors at once are very rare. 
Breeding a Labrador with genes that allow it to give birth to puppies of all three colors was a dream for many dog owners, and Zola became such a dog. The daddy of the babies also had genes in all three colors, and it took about ten years of crossbreeding to breed a multicolored offspring.
